CONDITIONS
CORNS AND CALLOUSES
Corns and calluses are small areas of thickened skin that usually appear as hard, rough bumps on the feet. They develop as a result of repetitive pressure or friction on the skin, or other physical or chemical irritation.
This could happen due to the way our foot moves on the ground, ill-fitting shoes or high heels, bunions, hammertoes, etc. Your podiatrist will debride the corn or callous. They may suggest paddings or discuss footwear consideration.
