The Zebris FDM-T (Force Distribution Measurement Treadmill) is a highly sensitive piece of equipment we use to analyse gait and running techniques and assess if there is any abnormal movement and when these movements are occurring.

It is used as part of a comprehensive Biochemical Assessment to determine the cause of pain or potential problems. In most cases it will also include a non-weight bearing assessment of joint range of motion, muscle testing and a static assessment of posture.

Our diagnostic treadmill contains more than 5000 pressure sensors within the belt as well as two angle video capture. These features are used to collect data and display them onto our computer screen for analysis.

The information displayed gives us insight into the distribution of force and pressure for each footstep and allows us to compare all phases of stance, walking and running for each foot. We then use the data supplied to provide you with the best outcome and treatment options.
