LOW DYE TAPING

Low dye taping is a classic taping method used to off-load the plantar fascia and offer support to the foot and ankle (and in some cases help with knee pain). It is mainly used for injuries caused by "funny" walking patterns or an excessive inward stance (pronation).

The purpose of low dye taping is to limit joint movement, prevent foot injury during high risk sports, improve foot posture and indicate the suitability of orthotics. It is a short term treatment and its offloading effects vary from patient to patient. We use an adhesive, non stretch (rigid) sports tape. This is necessary to restrict motion and support foot structure.
